Privacy policy

Backpack helps your household stay on top of school life. When you forward school emails to your Backpack address, we process those messages to extract events, tasks, forms, and other actionable items for your family calendar and to-do lists.

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) in the United States. Household members you invite can see shared household data according to their role; kids see a limited view. We use your information to run the product — not to build ad profiles.

We do not sell your family's data. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing. Service providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics we use to improve the app) may process data only to provide those services to us.

You can ask us to delete your account and household data. Email us from the address on your account and we will confirm deletion. You can also stop forwarding new mail at any time; existing imported items remain until you delete them or close your account.

AI extraction can be wrong — always verify dates and deadlines with your school. This policy may change as the product grows; we will post updates here.
